Happy Monday!

It's been raining Non Stop here in Northern VA!

And although I'm ready for sun rays and pool days, it's been fun breaking out my wellies! Pink boots make even the dreariest of days happy :)

I snatched up this teal lace pencil skirt off the sale rack at LOFT a couple weeks ago (Currently 60% off!). It's such a gorgeous color! ! I paired it with my favorite LOFT chambray top (similar) and finished with a statement necklace (Love this option!).

Nothing but Spring over here!

A Start to a Post Partum Wardrobe

Happy Weekend Everyone!!  It's been a loooong time since I've popped on the blog. Being a Mom is a whirlwind! But the absolute best experience I could have imagined.
Before I get into my recent fashion finds, here's a pic of my sweet boy! Gah! I just love him!

So now that I've got the proud Mom bragging out of the way, let's talk Post Partum dressing shall we??
After 6 months of wearing yoga pants, it was time to embrace what having this little booger did to my body. To say pregnancy changed my body would be an understatement. I mean seriously, it  C h a n g e d  it! I don't even remotely have the same body type as I did pre baby...not even close.
Going from a "curvy" lower body, small waste, and average chest, to NO butt, wider waist (slight Mom pooch), and I don't even know how to define my boobs (thanks breast feeding)....dressing my body has been a whole new challenge!
All that being said, starting from scratch has kind of been fun! I've gotten to explore and with trial and error I've found a few basic pieces that have really worked for not only my body, but my lifestyle!
Here are some basics I've invested in and have been on constant repeat in my closet!

Loft Skinny Chinos
I have these in Teal Glow and Soft Ocean Blue (the blue appears to be sold out in regular sizing, but available in Talls here).
I initially bought these pants for a business trip  last month and have worn them non stop since. They have just enough stretch and sit high enough on my waist to lay nicely across my mommy pooch. Super comfy.

Cable knit sweater (old LOFT), Michaal Kors flats via ROSS (Cute Spring option here) 

Last Season LOFT jacket (This season's version here), LOFT necklace (cute option here), Loft grey sweater, Michael Kors flats (similar)

Riviera Ankle Pant I also picked up the Riviera Ankle Pant in black for a presentation I had last week. Again, very comfortable waste band that isn't too low cut. Helps avoid the dreaded muffin top :) I recommend sizing down.

Franco Sarto Nude Pumps (Similar) Necklace (See post here, similar) These pants are pictured with the Flecked Flutter Top from LOFT (Size down). I love how this top seems so whimsical! Young and flowy, making it perfect for floating away from the body. The black and white make it very versatile, which is a win win since I'm working with a smaller wardrobe. For a little color, I thought a green cardigan would be fun! (Last season LOFT find, long sleeve version here).

Skinny Crop Jeans

I also picked up these Skinny Crop Jeans and in blue and white to get me through the Spring!
